A general-purpose relay can also be called the electromagnetic relay. 

The difference between electromagnetic relay and electrical relay is that electronic relays rely on the delayed energization of the resistance-capacitance elements to control the contact on and off of the relay action. Electromagnetic relays make the airbag inflating or deflating the process of driving the contacts on and off through the coil energization or power-off release.
